NOMADS
The first Division 2 Season (Shadow Tide) marches on. The current ongoing activity is the Home League that continues for another 8 days. Three of the four manhunts required to unlock the intel for the Season’s main boss event have been concluded.

Title Update 9 went live last week, and to celebrate: anyone who logs in before May 5 will receive a backpack trophy “Soda” and 3 Apparel Cache keys. This update features the exotic items reconfiguration that will allow you to “level up” your old exotics to current gear levels, and many bug fixes. Full notes are available at https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/2218056-Title-Update-9-Patch-Notes

There is also a free trial for the Division 2, playable for 8 hours up to level 8. Any progress made during the trial will be carried forward if the full game is purchased. Reach out to anyone in the AIE clan for friend referrals as well.

Clan activity has been low. I encourage members to reach out in the community discord’s #thedivision2 chat channel to arrange nights for play or ask for help.

Diablo 3
Season 20, Season of the Forbidden Archives, is still going strong and sees some AIE community members dipping back into the game here and there. Remember you have the “Alea Iacta Est” community and the Nomads clan at your disposal. Just ask for invites in the AIE community discord in channel #nomads. The season is scheduled to run “roughly three months” and just started on March 13th, 2020. There’s still time to jump in and have some fun.

Much of the news with Diablo is centered on the franchise’s heavily anticipated Diablo IV. In February, Blizzard began quarterly updates on this title. The first is available at https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/diablo4/23308274/diablo-iv-quarterly-update-february-2020

Destiny 2
Guardians class in friendly class competitions in the new event “Guardian Games.” Daily challenges provide opportunities for each class to achieve victory towards the reward, bragging rights, and a class specific decoration for the Tower public space that’ll serve as a reminder of their excellence for the remainder of the year until the next event. Daily rewards and details on the games can be found at https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Seasons/Events/GuardianGames

Bungie is partnering with Direct Relief once more in the Guardian Heart’s campaign to aid in the fight against COVID-19. For those who would like more information about this campaign: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/48946

Remember you can also play much of Destiny 2 for free with Destiny 2: New Light. Access to much of the game and all its first 2 year pass campaigns and activities are available for free with some restrictions on content in the latest Shadowkeep expansion. Join for free and receive more information on this program at https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Destiny/NewLight

There are a few AIE members carrying on the fight in Destiny 2. Reach out to them to arrange playtimes and ask for help in the community discord’s #destiny2 channel. You may submit an application to join the clan at https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2?groupid=2122972

Officers are always available and paying attention in the #lfo channel. Don’t hesitate to shout out there for app approvals in any AIE game.

WoW
From Gustytail – We had great fun doing Volunteer Guard Day on both Alliance and Horde. It was a last minute idea and we racked up impressive scores killing invaders in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. We also accidentally killed Critho. Oops!

Invictus is the new co-guild for invites on the Horde side. Just use the in game guild finder to search for Alea Iacta Est and apply. Just a reminder, once your application is approved, you won’t get an in game notification, so make sure you go back to the Communities panel (J) and accept your invite.

Fezgig is the new officer. Come learn more about the newest AIE Officer here https://aie-guild.org/blog/2020/04/new-aie-officer-fezgig/ and make sure you listen to Episode 341 as well.

Officer spotlight article on Syreyne https://aie-guild.org/blog/2020/05/meet-an-aie-officer-syreyne-edition/ keep an eye out on the blog as more interviews are on the way!

Alliance guild is over 300 members!
HFO had 25 people Friday night!

Dankinia – Noob Raid has had 45-50 people attending the last few weeks so we have been running two groups with myself leading one, Syrene leading the other, and Gijora jumping back and forth as needed. It’s been a lot of fun and we tend to get 4-5 bosses down every Saturday night. If you would like to join us, there is no item level requirement. Just be in guild chat a little before 11pm est and watch for me to announce that invites are going out.

SWTOR
Have some conquest points with your conquest points. The latest changes to the Conquest system have everyone remarking on all the new ways to gain points as well as sparking conversations in the community and among guildies about whether the changes have made it TOO easy or whether there is some method behind Bioware’s madness. In the meantime, it’s definitely affected gameplay for many AIE’ers in swtor as they switch out characters more often to get personal targets met. It will be interesting to see how it goes once the initial hubbub dies down and we settle into the new normal.

The public test server is currently up, so people can work on testing the new Master Mode version of the current Operation, The Nature of Progress.

MFN still meets on Tuesdays at 9PM Eastern. This week we will be celebrating and opening the remaining rooms on both flagships. Also, BC has some fun things planned for the future. May’s MEGA will be a datacron crawl and will be on the 22nd. Now is a good time to jump into the game because we have a double XP event going on until mid June.

And last, but not least, May the 4th is Looci’s birthday as well as the birthday of guildie Racevan’s son! May the force be with us all.

STO
Tonight’s Fleet Night will be focused around the Winter Wonderland that Q brought back.

There is currently a double XP event going on.

Next week they will be running another event for a few weeks to work towards either a tier 6 ship or 1000 lobi crystals.

FFXIV
Map nights are still a super popular event and profitable for every attendee. Maps are greatly appreciated, but not required for attendance.

Tuesday night casual raid nights have been getting a lot of traction, with older raids being requested and fulfilled. Special Extreme mounts are also common activities, getting cool and unique mounts for all attendees.

Thursday night “Noobs on Demand” (NoD) is looking to start up this week. Look for updates on their successes in the raid activity channel.

Goblin, the server that AIE plays on is once again a Preferred Server. Many new players are starting up on our server, so plenty of new folks to adventure alongside with, since new characters will get the “road to 70 buff” giving you a MASSIVE xp bonus on all jobs under 70. So now is a great time to start up FFXIV with AIE. Drop by the #ffxiv channel for any questions or to meet the many AIE players of Final Fantasy XIV.

EVE
All operations within normal parameters. Military deployment is officially over. ISK making may resume. Translation: We’re all in Animal Crossing playing the Stalk Market

LOTRO
Lotro had a successful PvMP night last week. We had a lot of fun and if you missed it there will be more PvMP themed SNLs in the future. so if you missed the first one you will have a chance to join in next time. Standing Stone Games has extended its all content free-to-play through May 31st. If you are VIP or lifetime VIP as a thank you Standing Stone Games is giving all VIP a free medium carry-all.

And with that, let’s get back to Dankinia and find out what’s going on in ESO.

GAME NEWS
The next chapter for ESO, Greymoor, will launch on Tuesday May 26th for PC/Mac and on June 9th for consoles. Update 26 will go live at that time as well. For all players, Update 26 will have more server and client side optimization and stability improvements. For those that purchase the new chapter, we will be journing to Western Skyrim. The area should feel familiar to those that spent hours playing TES V: Skyrm because of the geography, however since we will be adventuring earlier in the timeline there will be new areas to discover. In addition, we will get to delve into the vast subterranean area of Blackreach.

One of the new systems that will be launched alongside Greymoor is the antiquities system. You join the Antiquarians Circle in the city of Solitude in Western Skyrim which will walk you through a tutorial quest explaining how the system works. The system will have two mini games and skill lines to go with them. There will be a variety of items you can get such as Mythic equipment, treasure to sell, motifs, furnishings, and a mount.

As usual, the Friday after the new chapter launches our MFN will be spent exploring the new zone together and maybe checking out the new Antiquities system. Our recent MFN activities have been random dungeon runs and public dungeon clears. Also one of our members, Thuggs, has created a course he calls “Golden Lessons” to provide tips and tricks to gold making in game.

Also ask Mew and Kini about Fallout 76

Wastelanders is here.
