We had the Coreborn Alpha – A number of folks from AIE got invited to the Closed Alpha of Coreborn, an open world survival game, and we had a blast! Once we got our heads around the crafting, gathering, and building, we went to town. Max literally laid down the blueprints (awesome game feature) for the building and workstations/chest and we gathered up the supplies to make them real. Once we got to level 2 on the Town Center we had a PvE attack coming from NPC’s. We swarmed them and defeated them, but 8 hours later, while we slept, they got their revenge and knocked out 90% of the bottom floor of the base. We rebuilt and got to level 3 just before they did a full wipe for the last day of alpha. We rallied the troops and rebuilt much faster, now knowing the system, and got to level 2 before the alpha ended.
Beautiful scenery, lots to explore, fun building/crafting stuff to do, and yes, they’re adding fishing.

Star Citizen 3.18 is a huge leap forward there in a number of ways but will take a week or two to stabilize and we’ll have a few people checking it out.
WoW
In WoW, we have a Guild event coming up: The Trial of Style (a micro holiday fashion contest) returns March 20-24 and I’ll be doing guild runs at 7pm Eastern. Players earn tokens for transmog gear and the event counts toward the new Trading Post’s monthly goal for the Darkmoon Harlequin transmog set. FOR THE MOG!
In Raid Team news, Kiddie Aggro defeated Heroic Razageth for the Ahead of the Curve achievement and completed Glory of the Vault Raider for a molten mammoth mount. My team, Better Late Than Never, has both as well! Behind the Curve is 4 of 8 bosses in Heroic, Alliance Team Hell Froze Over is 3 of 8 Heroic and the Filthy Casuals are working on Normal Razageth and have taken out the first boss (Eggnog) on Heroic.
Noob Raid went Timewalking Saturday night, defeating 5 bosses in Ulduar. Whoa that Crazy Cat Lady!
WoW Classic
In WoW Classic, Stale Puft Marshmallow Raid Team is going strong in Ulduar with 12/14 bosses down and looking for their first Yogg-Saron kill. They have a great group of core players but could use more! With a few folks out last weekend they went after some “short-handed” achievements in Naxxramus instead, such as Less Is More,The Dedicated Few and Subtraction.
SWTOR
The big thing this week in AIE Swtor is Total Galactic War. The guild will be working to gain points to beat other guilds to the domination of a planet. It’s a bit of strategy, a healthy portion of teamwork, and usually a lot of fun as well.

Cool things the guild has been doing:
– We’ve been working on clearing the trials that don’t have mechanics that force us to have a full 12 people. We’ve currently got three that we can routinely complete.
Things planned or coming up for the guild:
– Tales of Tribute Tournament 2 has concluded, but there are plans for ToT 3 to take place in mid-June with a prize pool of over 7 million gold. (too bad that doesn’t convert to real money)
Game News:
– Update 37 along with the Scribes of Fate DLC will be out on March 13th for PC and March 28 for consoles. Update 37 brings some accessibility improvements and housing improvements and the DLC brings two new dungeons.
– The next chapter, Necrom, will be out June 5th for PC/Mac and June 20 for consoles.
STO
The Federation fleet is making big moves with the colony. We are currently working to complete the Tier V for the overall colony. We could use some help with people doing the renewable energy daily at the colony for more batteries to help move it along. Somehow we have already filled the 1.79 million dilithium and almost have the fleet marks. Amazing job you all.
KDF fleet is working on the final project of the dilithium mine, which will unlock the last of the discounts on dilithium prices.
GW2
New episode, What Lies Beneath, in the new more regular release schedule has dropped. Dungeons and more on the second Friday, MFN weekly.

LOTRO
Update 35 is still on Bullroarer (pts). That means we are getting closer to when the new update goes live. The spring festival started on March 9th and runs through March 27th. Time to dust of fthe map of the maze and get ready for some fence walking.

GAME NEWS
Content release 10.0.7 lands on March 21st. We’ll be heading to the Forbidden Reach (the Dracthyr Evoker starting area). The new content for max-level players involves exploring five zones and the Zskera Vault, a weekly Treasure Room with a fancy ring, the Onyx Annulet. That’s A-N-N annulet not amulet.
Primal Storms, including a Mega Storm, will offer gear upgrades and are great for alts. New Faction grind rewards include four Dragon Riding customizations, a Battle pet named Buckie and the Noble Bruffalon mount. We’ll also have a quest to befriend the Winterpelt Furbolg in Azure Span by slowly learning their language. What a nice concept!
Human and Orc Heritage Armor quests are also coming. Full skirt and chest spike transmogs? Don’t mind if I do! Also – Worgen, Goblins and Lightforge Dranei can now be monks. Let’s Roll!
Meanwhile Content release 10.1.0 is on the PTR
We’ll see a new underground zone, new Dragon Riding skills, a new raid – Aberrus, The Shadowed Crucible – and a new season of Mythic+ with 8 different dungeons. But the thing we’re REALLY excited for is Cross-Faction GUILDS! Yes, we’ve been doing cross-faction raids and dungeons, but we’ll finally achieve the dream of one community! The officers are currently testing functionality on the PTR, and we’ll let you know how it will all work once it’s ready to go.
