NOMADS
From Marcus – AIE’s Destiny 2 clan was reborn this year! We had an amazing expansion released in February. Witch Queen brought so many guardians back to the game. Since then we have been running clan night every Tuesday night at 9pm est. Between Strikes, PVP, gambit, nightfalls, and the occasional dungeon. This has been quite the year for Destiny 2 in AIE!

Coming in 2023…
The next expansion “Lightfall” comes in Feb 2023! Then we will get 4 seasons throughout the year with Story, Raids, Dungeons, and updates to keep you playing!
If you’re interested in joining the clan ping Marcus or Wargus! We will get you into the fun!

“May the light provide!”

Merry Christmas!

From Albus – We have had a lot of fun with board gaming, and there’s one particularly epic game of King of Tokyo that Face of Case won which stands out in my mind. He rolled just right and pulled off a double win! I’m looking forward to more people joining in next year and also the next AIE Con.

From Maellung – This year the D&D channel has been busy. Tons of great talk in there. Next year there are DMs and future new DMs looking to run some stuff.

From Max – Nomads in general, we’ve had players hosting private servers for AIE this year for us all to try out a ton of fun games. Definitely worth a shoutout to Sartavius and Fez organizing stuff in Valheim, Nazrai in Empyrion and Ark, Corley in Rust, etc. (am I missing any?) We really appreciate the extra hosting and organizing work!

WoW
Dankinia – Noob Raid and Noob Raid. Dankinia is looking forward to seeing how many Evokers show up on January 7th when Noob Raid returns.

Gusty – The biggest activity for me was AIE Con, with multiple WoW events and four Dungeons and Dragons one-shots – one led by a first time Dungeon Master. Most memorable, our Horde and Alliance players teamed up for a last minute Fated Raid on Dragonflight launch day. They defeated The Jailer with only an hour to spare, earning several people a very cool mount, Jigglesworth Senior.

I am looking forward to raiding with my Drak-theer Evoker – the new draconic race & class – and perfecting my Dragonriding skills.

WoW Classic
Looci – For me, it’s having the Akela’s Wrath team, working together to do end game content, and helping each other out. Again, AIE is about the people, and we have GREAT people in Classic. I love you guys!

Lars – 2022 was the first time I actually joined a team and raided in WoW. Really this is the first time for me to have any sustained group content outside of Eve Online in AIE. So I must say that I am very happy for that and send a big hug to our raid team Akela’s Wrath.

SWTOR
From Sema – High points for AIE in swtor this year include a new Operation (raid), where guildies are still progressing, and Total Galactic War, where we won two new planets. We also got major UI upgrades including the much awaited, game-changing color blind mode. BC handed the reins of MFN over to Corley who has been making our Tuesdays so much fun. And we’ve welcomed new members all year long. It’s been a good year.

ESO
From Dankinia – I think the biggest, most memorable event of the year in ESO was the Tales of Tribute tournament. Six weeks of chatting, playing cards, and some good natured competition. Everyone got a prize at the end, thanks to the generous donations of Kraemer and Drager, and we all had fun. Next year we are looking forward to another ToT tournament and possibly a fishing tournament.

From Kraemer – Greeting AIE community we are now opening up signing up for the second AIE guild Tales of Tribute tournament that will start Monday January 16th 2023. To sign up all you have to do is respond in the tot channel or dm @Kraemer29 on discord. The tourney will run for 4 weeks this time for a total of 12 matches against each other. You will play 3 matches per week for 4 weeks if there is a tie for example tied for 1st the players tied will get 1st and 2nd and then divided by 2 to split evenly among the tied players. We will once again pay the top 10 spots.

1st – 1,000,000
2nd – 750,000
3rd – 500,000
4th – 250,000
5th – 125,000
6th – 75,000
7th – 50,000
8th – 35,000
9th – 25,000
10th = 10,000

Total gold in prizes will be 2,820,000.
Good luck to all those who are interested in signing up for the tourney.

FFXIV
From Abovan – With the release of Endwalker, it has been awesome to see and hear all of the AIE members reactions to the 8-year conclusion of the first major story arc in FFXIV. And then, from those passions, how it attracts other new players to AIE to see how you can truly have an engaging, entertaining, and emotional storyline in a MMO. And then their emotions and reactions through the game grabs the interest of the next wave of players, and the cycle repeats itself.

From Sahja Moshraka/Elaine of Shalott
The last Sunday Retro Treasure Hunt will be level 80 Treasure Maps on December 18th at 4PM Eastern. Then join us in the new year as AIE in FF14 embarks on the Magical Miscellany Tour. Each Friday Night at 9PM Eastern the tour will make a new stop. Events include Retro Treasure Maps, Mount and Glamour farms, Crazy Challenges and more. The first stop will be on January 6th for a Winter Wonderland in the Aquapolis. Flaunt your most fabulous frigid fashions at the Free Company house before setting out to locate the treasures of the Aquapolis in those chilly Heavansward Zones. This event is accessible to any level 60 player who has completed the Heavansward MSQ including Free Trial players. More details will be posted in the FF14 channel in discord. Feel free to contact Sahja Moshraka in Discord or in game with questions or ideas for future events.

STO
Grebog – STO’s Year in review. We have made some major progress this year on the Federation fleet holdings. All small holdings are 100% complete and we even finished off the starbase. Even with that made a huge dent into the colony, which is also closing in on completion. KDF fleet also went from a gleam in our eyes to having nearly completed the Dilithium mine for all the discounts it awards for progressing projects and pushed the starbase to just a hair under being tier 2.

The fleet has been having lots of fun on Fun Night Thursdays. We have done things from blowing each other up for laughs to helping gear and level up people.

Fleet Action Report had a huge year thanks to the community. We were invited to be part of a special Game Developer event and you all helped us turn the numbers out for the special show. This still blows my mind, that we were even able to participate in that.

It has been a great year and you all have made it that.

GW2
MFN Weekly + Dungeon Nights Monthly continue to be a guild highlight here.

Also the guild opened it’s guild hall! Congratulations.

LOTRO
From Maellung – This year we have had some fun on low level toons. Starting with different race/class combos being available. This also brought an increase in the game in the starter areas. Then with the recent release of Before the Shadow expansion we had fun with a brand new starter zone. Also with Before the Shadow some of us were able to enjoy learning a new skirmish for the first time in many years. Next year we will look at continuing our fun guiding people through the new starter zone and getting the deeds done for the new skirmish. We also are looking at helping people get some group content deeds completed.

GAME NEWS
And with that, I have a question for my co-hosts- what was your gaming highlight this year? And what is your gaming resolution for next year?
