We are looking into Eve Echoes(Mobile game) and would love to know how much interest there is in the guild. Please tell us in the #eve_embassy.

Max is hooked real hard on Dual Universe this weekend. Quite fun getting ramped up in a new game. Combination of Landmark, No Mans Sky and Eve (simplified version of each, but complex since it has all three elements). Bugging as heck but he’s addicted.

Interested in what Max was talking about with Dual Universe? Catavarie let us know that it goes into open Beta this coming Friday August 27th and the NDA will lift that day as well. And, Kazrik tells us that a recruit a friend comes out at the same time!

Diablo 3
Some new folks are popping in to experience the current season’s content. No announcements or news since the last show.

WoW Classic
On Wednesday, August 26th WOW Classic celebrates its 1st anniversary! To celebrate Nevermore & Coma are planning a special activity next Sunday, August 30th at 2pm Eastern. Keep an eye on the WoW Classic discord channel for more information!

Raid nights with the United Orgrimmar team continues to be awesome! They have cleared Molten Core and finished a full clear of AQ20! The schedule for Molten Core has moved to Saturdays so that more time can be devoted to Blackwing Lair on Sundays. If you’re interested in raiding, let us know and we will help guide you in the right direction!

Greenwall is now active in WoW Classic! Our goal was to make communication easier with our friends in and another small guild called during raid nights and various other activities throughout the week. Make sure you download the Greenwall addon so that you see all of the combined conversation otherwise you will only see ? of what’s being said and you don’t want to miss out. Friendly reminder that the main guild chat is still considered family friendly so please be respectful to everyone!

If you’re interested in creating a character with AIE Guild in WoW Classic, we play Horde on the Pagle-PvE realm! Once you make a character, jump into the LFO channel in Discord and request a guild invite. Hope to see you in game soon!

Update 27 which includes the Stonethorn DLC releases for PC/Mac on August 24th and Sept 1st for consoles.

Stonethorn will have two new four person dungeons that continue the stories told in the Harrowstorm DLC and Greymoor. The new dungeons are Castle Thorn, where you are assaulting a fortress to put a stop to an evil invasion, and Stone Garden, where you confront an evil genius and his experiments. Update 27, which is a base-game patch, will have performance improvements to help with stability and reduce load times and will add Homestead character pathing. Character Pathing will allow you to build paths for your pets, assistants, and mounts to follow when they are placed in your houses so they don’t just have to stand in one spot.

For MFN on Friday, August 28th we will split into groups to run the two new dungeons together.

Patch 5.3 Hit. Which includes the conclusion of the Shadowbringers Storyline, the next chapters of the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse 24 player raid and the The Sorrow of Werlyt storyline, Unreal Trials, Dwarven tribe quests for crafters, the compression of quest “fluff” in the base “A Realm Reborn” to help new players, flying added to the original zones, and more.

The free trial to the game has also been expanded. Now, for no fincial investment, you can play though the game, levels 1 – 60, including ALL content from A Realm Reborn, which is the base or vanilla content, and ALL of the first expansion, Heavesward.

There’s also TWO seasonal events happening right now!

The Moonfire Fair. Save the Eorzean tradition of the Moonfire Fair. Start you adventure in Limsa Lominsa, upper decks. Earn summer beach Hawaiian style cosmetics, dances, and moonfire fair outdoor furnishing. This event will last until August 26th, but takes less than an hour to earn all of the rewards from the event.

The other event is the return of the Yo-kai Watch event, but it has now been expanded for Shadowbringers! Earn 17 new Yo-kai themed minions all across Eorzea. If you earn 13 of them, a yo-kai mount will be yours! But there are also legendary yo-kai medallions to be earned to be traded in for cosmetic weapons! If you earn 13 of these, you will earn another yo-kai mount. If you really work at it and earn all 17 weapons, then you will get the final mount, the Jibanyan Couch mount! This event will take time to complete in its entirety, but you have until patch 5.4 comes out before the Yo-Kai watch event goes on hiatus once again.

I hope you like more seasonal events, because on August 27th, the next seasonal event starts up, The Rising. This event will run until September 14th. This is the game’s ARR relaunching anniversary event, often paying tribute to the game, the main characters, and to the players themselves. This event will start up in Ul’dah in the Steps of Nald.

In Free Company news, patch 5.3 has brought new items that can be discovered via Map nights, so Saturday nights at 9:30pm EST is the place to be for fun, adventure, and profit! Some of these items have the potential to go for more MILLIONS of gil on the player market, so it’s highly profitable to come along, not to mention that map nights are tons of fun in AIE!

Also, there’s plenty of MFNs throughout the week. This is just times we get together to run content, either it be roulettes, legacy raids, or farming for mounts or cosmetic gear. If you are stuck on a dungeon and want to run it with AIE folk, the MFNs are a great event to ask to have those ran.

The Discord channel #ffxiv is where most of the Final Fantasy chatter happens. While we are not going to discourage any sort of in game chatter, of course, but discord has fallen down as the defacto tool for game chatter, both text and in voice. Game discussion can be found there, either if you are in the game or if you are out and about on Earth on your computers, tablets, or mobile devices.

Please note that AIE in FFXIV does employ a MSQ spoiler free policy that extends to the in-game FC chat as well as the main discord channel, #ffxiv. Please refrain from any MSQ spoilers, including in the base content in ARR as new players to the game should be surprised to the many twists and turns that the story shows to the players. If you do wish to discuss plot elements of the game, we do have a new channel set up, #ffxiv-Spoilers to discuss these items. Please keep the MSQ surprises to this channel to keep the surprises a surprise to the folks that have not consumed the surprise yet.

Also new to the FFXIV Discord channels is the #ffxiv-guides-n-tips channel. Here, we will be compiling a list of tips, guides, and other resources for FFXIV. Some of these we found on the web and other FFXIV content creators, but others are created from our own AIE members. We will be pinning (that’s the thumbtack icon in Discord) the guides and tricks in order for you to quickly find the guides you are looking for. Feel free to post stuff in there that you have found helpful or processes that you do to help you in the game.

As always, we are happy to help anyone and everyone get started or returning to their Eorzean adventures. Drop on down to #ffxiv and we’d be happy to get you started today.

The Risa summer event is still ongoing. There are still a couple of weeks left to participate. Fleet Night is still Sundays at 8:30 PM. This week we are completing the Lost 2800 episodes.

Summer Festival/ Farmer’s Faire, now a combined event, is live through Sept. 6. This past week we got a group together to storm Carn Dum. Where we cleared out not just the men Angmarim, but the women and children Angmarim too. We are looking to do more and bigger group content in the future. Do not forget if you have not claimed your free quests packs to do so by August 31st using the code LOTROFREEQUESTS in the LOTRO store.

And with that, let’s get back to Max & Sema and find out what’s going on in SWTOR.
