NOMADS
Destiny Steam transfer process from Battle.Net has begun. You must transfer your account to Steam by Oct 1st, as the game will stop being playable in BNet as of that date (and be live on Steam)

No Man’ Sky has been updated this month with to No Man’s Sky Beyond. Hello Games, the developer, has referred to it as No Man’s Sky 2.0. Most of the game systems have been updated or revamped to improve the player experience. Some of the bigger additions to the game are:
VR Support
16-32 player support on planets and stations
Multiplayer missions
Improved Base building
Player Social Hub
Dynamic NPCs
Creature Taming and Riding
Discovery UI Overhaul
Inventory improvements
Dent and Corley are currently searching for a planet that can be used for a community planet where players can build bases, trade, and help each other out in the game. If you played No Man’s Sky when the game first came out, but were disappointed, give it a try now. You might find that things that you didn’t like, have been improved or updated. Post in the Nomads channel if you want to join up in game.

Gustytail and friends will form groups to queue for the Trial, where you are given a theme and have mere minutes to select the best outfit from every item you’ve equipped… ever. Then we take turns voting on whose turned out best. Being in a Guild group gives us the chance to help everyone get top honors while still having a great time. We’ll run Sat, Aug 31 from 4-6 pm eastern and Sun, Sept 1 from 10 to 11:30pm eastern and again on Tues, Sept 3 from 8-11pm eastern. I will do additional runs if there’s interest. Let’s get out there and be Fabulous!

The two new dungeons for Scalebreaker are out and running them will give you the tablet you need to open wing 2 of the Hall of the Lunar Champion. (This is the new house that you can get while playing through the current story update.) If you need a group to run them, join us for MFN on Friday nights and we can help you out. Several of us have been through them a few times already and know the fights. Speaking of MFN, it’s Friday night at 9pm est. We run dungeons, clear zones for sky shards, and on occasion fall off cliffs.

Sunday nights are the MFN night for STO. Grebog, Dent, Corley and a few others have been in there leading the charge.
Very soon, Captains among the ranks of the Federation, Klingon, and Dominion factions will be gaining access to most of the Romulan Republic’s fierce fleet of starships. This includes many legendary Warbirds, and a number of other Romulan starships. Though these vessels have been restricted up until now, the galaxy is heading in a direction of increased cooperation and sharing of technology, and the Republic has been benefiting from those arrangements for some time. Their leadership has decided it’s time enough to return the trust that has been shown to them, and allow their trusted allies the

A strange wormhole has opened up and most of the current Eve players are now in a strange space called Azeroth. Seems like they thought it was similar to Dust but with better options …

Arenanet is running a champion rush event until Aug. 27th.; there will be bonus loot from killing champs in core Tyria, and a token drop that has to be turned in to progress community rewards.

After Sept. 3rd, there will be the not well named “Expansion Boost Special Event”. It does not mean there is a new expansion, it will however give double XP for mastery progression for the existing expansions.

More significantly, Arenanet has a big live announcement coming up on August 30th. This will probably be about the new Living World season coming up, but they have surprised us before with extras.

Farmer’s Faire has arrived through September 9th.
September 21st there will be an invasion of LOTRO’s SNL. All are welcome to attend as I will be leading all interested to try lotro through the intro area for the race of Man. It is free to play, just need to download the game. Any questions feel free to ask me or post in #lotro

GAME NEWS
Bioware is going add achievements to the next release of the public test server for Onslaught. These achievements will likely require us to run 5 group content activities, which can be pve or pvp and will result in titles that we can use in the live game. The PTS is a limited time activity so keep an eye out for news about when it’s up.
The double xp event is over now, but it helped a lot of folks reach their goals in Summer of 300, while some are waiting until the night before to finish up….
The New York Cantina has been announced for October 4th from 7-10 Eastern to coincide with New York Comic Con. There will be some AIE folks there, so if you are looking for an East Coast meetup, this could be the one! For more info about connecting up with AIE people there, come and ask in the AIE discord – swtor channel.
August MEGA was this past weekend and it was a great night of cat-herding, grappling, extricating, datacron-getting and some pretty epic chat. Fun times!
