AIE News
Community
Keep an eye on AIE Discord, the forums, and the main https://aie-guild.org page for information regarding the February events in all the games that AIE is involved in. Rumor has it, the WoW team is cooking up something special for the February event based on an idea that Ralff had and the the SWTOR team has run in the past. Curious? So are we, can’t wait to find out more as we get closer to the event.
Also, one of our AIE SWTOR members has a podcast called Working Class Nerds, check it out at https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/working-class-nerds/id1330089578?mt=2#episodeGuid=Buzzsprout-626038
Imperium Ludi
Some brave AIE souls are checking out ESO again. Check out the #eso channel in the AIE Discord for anyone interested in joining them.
The guild is named Alea Iacta Est Cartis and is available for all AIE members to join.
On the Crowfall side of news, game is getting more finished and we’ll surely have an open beta (currently still a kickstarter beta, and the kickstarter campaign is closed) this summer with release sometime this year.
Still a lot of work but basic issues like animation cancellations and powers are fixed and are fluid now.
More classes and races are in
WoW
Patch 7.3.5 – Patch Notes – https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/21365423
A lot of content shipped with this patch but isn’t available for play yet. If you have killed the last raid boss in Antorus on any difficulty, the character that killed him will get a new breadcrumb quest leading to Orgrimmar and the new quest line leading up to the next expansion, Battle For Azeroth. As of right now, you do need to kill the last boss in Antorus on each character you want to get the new content available to them, it is not account wide. No word if it will become account wide later in the patch cycle.
For all you altoholics, the new zone scaling is in for all content zones as well as a nerf to XP gained both through heirloom gear and quest/mob XP rewards, so as they say in Pandaria “Slow Down!” and enjoy the leveling content.
Holiday Dungeons are also now available to all characters starting at level 20 (same level as the new Allied races start at, coincidence? I think not) and the rewards will scale with character level.
And, as of right now, all Dungeons reward personal loot, which means if you want a piece for transmog, you have to run it on a class capable of obtaining it from the loot table. Expect the prices of BoE greens to skyrocket.

Upwell 2.0 Structure Changes coming on February 13th!
https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/upwell-2.0-structures-changes-coming-on-february-13th/
As we mentioned at EVE Vegas, the core of the Upwell Structures 2.0 design consists of four major pillars:
“Full power” and “low power” modes for structures
A new vulnerability and reinforcement system
A major structure combat overhaul
Moon mining in Wormhole space and some Highsec systems
In addition to the four pillars, this release will also include a significant set of other smaller changes to Upwell Structures and their associated mechanics.

GAME NEWS
Tetsemi:
WoW: Got my 11th Class (Demon Hunter) through the class order hall and mount quests and working on the 12th and final class (Monk) who is currently 105 and working through the beginning of Azsuna. He’s an inscriptionist, so it was either Azsuna or Stormheim.
WoW Raiding: Have 6/11 Normal mode mobs on farm and working on Fel Tjorborn for progression. Got him to 50% on our best attempt and just need some more time to get used to the add rotation.
SWTOR: Got my Sith Marauder through the final part of KoET and working on getting my Gunslinger and Bounty Hunter through KotFE. Also, hopefully this Saturday afternoon, Mkallah and I will be starting new Republic characters and doing about an hour a week on the story content.
Mewkow: My other team has managed to not only defeat Argus for the first time on normal, but has repeated the feat a second time. As a result, I was able to get the breadcrumb quest for Silithis and check out the sword. I had actually go to check out the sword before the patch after we first downed Argus, and was able to wander around on the hilt guards for a bit. Curiously, the sword was a lot more visible pre-patch as I was able to see it from the Caverns of Time, but after the patch I had to be a lot closer, almost to the zone itself. I have also been poking around more in-depth at the professions, intending to start a sort of arch of Altitis episodes shortly. Today’s will be focused on the leveling process post 7.3.5 though.
The ESO bug has bitten me as well, and I have been exploring the many classes and races over there, letting my altitis run freely. The are many good quest lines in ESO, and in the wavelength of character choice, it is curious as to what the many decisions in ESO will result in down the line.
I also noticed several guildies have been trying a game called Doki Doki Literature Club.
At this point, I think the spoiler statute of limitations is over. It’s definitely firmly in the category of horror, hidden under an anime dating sim. I approached it with the thinking cap of a game developer though, because they do some interesting things with the game development wise that really create quite the atmosphere.
OWL has been interesting.
Mkallah:
Not as much gaming as I would like, of course, when it comes to the pen and paper, but we did find ourselves back in the Mines of Phandelver Monday night, which was good since our Monday night group (that includes Tet, Dankinia, and Elcarth) spent a month on hiatus due to the holidays (and the Noob Cruise and our shady bard getting married). Our Wednesday Roll20 game is back on board (in a group that includes Arra, Enn, and Cassia) and we just added a new player, Tony the beer guy from the tadpool. We had a great night riding Gryphons and battling Manticores. Also, a fireball works just fine in air. And those maticores hit like HELL! And, our Friday D&D was cancelled (our DM works full time and just started a new semester), so a few of us did a prelude to our upcoming Mage campaign, which is exciting since I get to play a character that I created 20+ years ago but never used.
