Welcome to episode #255 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has ben podcast. This is Alludra:I think you are awesome To my left is Mkallah – (Hey, folks, there are strawberry shortcakes in the guild kitchen). And right over there cleaning up the mess, we have Tetsemi (According to my spreadsheet, ah nevermind, I’ll do it). This week we are joined by special guests Randy Deluxe AKA Maui who is here to talk to us about the Warcraft Movie! Welcome!

Ok, we’ll be digging into Warcraft shortly, but first, let’s cover this week’s news..

AIE News

The Warcraft movie came out this week- and we had a TON of Meetups to watch it, including one in Chicago, Phoenix, Chattanooga, LA, and of course Scott’s shindig in the Utah! If you want to schedule a meetup for a movie gathering, a guild dinner, or anything else, go to

Keep an eye on the Imperium Ludi section of the forums! Mewcow has been posting beta keys for the Riders of Icarus, an Eastern style MMO made by Nexon.

And, sadly, Archleon’s planned adventure of the Curse of Strahd at the Capitol Meeting Room in Madison, WI on June 26th has had to be canceled. if this is something that interests you, PM Archeleon on the forums or hit him up on twitter at @Lothmegal if this is something you would be interested in the future.

AIE WOW- under new Managment! Or is it old management? Or is it Orange is the new black- oh, we don’t know! In any case, congrats to Randy Deluxe – aka Maui- aka our guest tonight- he has accepted to take over the reigns as the big kahuna of AIE WOW! And if you know Randy, you know he is the perfect fit- he has been involved with the guild from the beginning, has been our GM already, is still very active in the game, and is highly regarded in the community.

Congrats are in order for the Hearder of the Cats and the Craft Faire folks- and a fair few raid groups, Syreyne has been promoted to Praetorian! For those who don’t know, a Praetorian is a Senior Officer rank- a step up from the Centurion rank. Oh, and free to mail Sy a Left Shark as a celebratory gift!

A big thanks to Maui and Sy, may the refrigerator in the break room be filled with all of your favourite treats.

Due to a sadly low drop rate for the garrison boss summoning items., Thuggs has changed the date on the AIE Vs Garrison Boss event to coincide with the Summer of Love! See our forums for details, or whisper Thuggs in game (or on twitter at @Alecmazzar).

And reminder you can help by farming up the boss summoning items. These items have a chance to drop upon ANY completed garrison invasion regardless of any previous invasions done that week. They are INDEPENDENT of the bag of loot drops and you have a chance each and every time you complete an invasion. Everyone can help, regardless if they’ve done it before. And we will need that help, because we need at least 2-4 of every item.

Speaking of Summer of Love, it is coming- sooner than you think! This year, the annual event of love and celebration runs August 1st to August 7th. Right now, the Community wide Remembrance day is Tuesday, August 2nd, Friday August 5th we have a COOP tentatively planed, and Saturday, August 6th we have Old School raid night! Please contact Sy in game, on the forums, or @SyreyneAIE on twitter if you want to host an event or find out how you can help!

Want to know more about Legion, the upcoming WoW Expansion? Well then head on over to MMO-Champion which has a summary and links to the Legion Summit interviews that were done the day after the red carpet movie premier in the US of the Warcraft movie.

One highlight, at least for Tetsemi, is that a feature similar to Lords of War is ready to go for Legion and folks at the Legion Summit already saw the first one and loved it.

Be warned, MMO-Champion did try and block out spoilers in their summary, but in the interviews all bets are off, so if you don’t want to be spoiled with story and lore, tread carefully.

Just a reminder, the EVE Vegas event on Friday, October 28th to Sunday, October 30th is a GO! Crazy Uncle Lanc and the Robot Stigg are gathering as many pilots of AIEU to converge on the celebration. Tickets are on sale now at And once you have your tickets, head over to the meetup site to let them know you are coming!

Patch 3.3 – Revenge of the Horde was released on June 7, 2016 – We’ll fill in details later, as this just links to a video.

Hmm, there is some LOTRO talk on the forums! We do have officers on fairly regularly for invites and there is some chatter on getting the band back together and maybe some Epic Battles. It sounds like it may be the perfect time to take a trip into Middle earth.

Episode XIV – Mandalore’s Revenge has been released since our last podcast. In this story progression chapter of Knight’s of the Fallen Empire you get find out what Shae Vizla has been up to since you last saw here in the Shadows of Revan expansion and also what your former companion Torian has been doing as well. And make sure you keep an eye out for a very famous Mandalorian Clan, the Fett’s who make an appearance in the story.

Already played through Episode XIV and looking for more information about what’s coming in Episode XV? The Gemini Deception trailer is out and get’s you ready for the next story beat in Knight’s of the Fallen Empire coming June 30th.

The producer’s letter for the month of June came out and Dulfy has a good write up on it as well as a link to the video on Youtube.
