World of Warcraft: Looking for Group Documentary – TRAILER

A few months ago I received a phone call out of the blue from our very own Randy Deluxe regarding a very interesting opportunity.  It seemed that Blizzard was working on a documentary to highlight the 10th anniversary of World of Warcraft and they wanted someone to talk about what kind of things happened in a guild.  “Great” I said, “who are they going to interview”, there was a pause and I heard the following thing.

“They want to interview you.”

Dumbfounded, I immediately replied “but I’m just some schmoe who plays WoW.”

“You run the largest guild in World of Warcraft and our community does things every day that smaller guild only dream of” was Randy’s reply.

So next thing I know I was visiting Blizzard HQ and spent a fine afternoon chatting with the producers and a few other members of the Blizzard staff.  We talked about my experiences in WoW and of the history of the guild, the many events we have had and the relationships that I had fostered in my time in the guild.

Now I won’t bore you with specifics but I will say is that I hope that what talked about leaves an impression to you my fellow guild mates.  This I say as the leader of the greatest guild in the history of gaming.

For those of you who are interested in watching it, you can see it in person at BlizzCon at the Main Stage in Hall D at 5 p.m. PST, or watch it free on the World of Warcraft Tournament Live Stream. You’ll also be able to find it on the official World of Warcraft YouTube page and official World of Warcraft site.

Sincerely,

Lanctharus
