Welcome to episode # 222 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community. This is Alludra, and I think you are awesome, with me as always, is Mkallah (there is a blueberry sour cream pie in the guild kitchen) and right over there, we have Tetsemi. (“spread sheets blah blah”). This week we are joined by special guests Abovan and Kelseer who are here to talk to us about AIE in Final Fantasy Welcome!

AIE NEWS

WoW:
World of Warcraft recently sent out a surprise gift to users who have been subscribed to continually for 10 years- an amazing replica of the bronze Orc statue that stands in the courtyard at Blizzard HQ in Irvine. Didn’t receive one- don’t worry, neither did we- but lots of AIE guildies have.

In World of Warcraft, there are rumors that a Spring Craft Faire is in the works. Please keep an eye on the Professions forums (use the forums) for more details as it becomes available. If you would like to help out with the craft please contact Syreyne in game or on the forums (use the forums) to volunteer.

A friendly reminder for all guildies in WoW, as well, please utilize the AIELFG channel (not AIELFO) for organizing raids/dungeons/world bosses/PvP groups, etc. It is an open channel that the rest of the server does have access to and utilize as well, so show the AIE love and help folks out. It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the retirement of the AIE division in Wildstar. The two co-guilds will be disbanded Soon(™), so make sure you log in to get anything you need from the guild banks before that happens

Game News:

All 3 Fan Fests have completed! Great fun, streamed over Twitch.
New Expansion, Heavensward news, new races, classes, and new flying mounts in the new zones!
New Race, Au Ra, a tall, mysterious and cool race. Horns and such.
New jobs, all without a class requirement (meaning no pre-req, just pick the class and go)
Dark Knight – Tank
Uses dark magic to tank, 2h Greatsword, evasion and parry tank
Astrologian – Healer
Uses powers of the stars to heal and assist allies. Star Globe as their weapon, and uses cards in different combinations to cast spells.
Machinist – DPS (ranged)
Mechanical pet and turrets dps class. Uses a gun as their primary weapon.
Flying mounts
Traditional flying mounts, get the mount, summon, fly away.
Single person airships will also be available
Free Company Airships, where the FC will work together to build the airship will be possible, with the expansion of the airship though the life of the expansion.
New faction, Holy See of Ishgard
Collectors Edition will be available, Digital and Physical will be available.
Physical Collector’s is MASSIVE

Besides all of this xpack news…

Patch 2.5 is hitting on Tuesday
New Story quests, both main scenario quests, side quests and Hildibrand, new Primal fights
New area, World of Darkness – like LFR in WoW, 24 people in a somewhat casual raid. This is a continuation of the Crystal Tower story line, all done in the 24 people, casual raid content.
New PvP zone, Borderland Ruins
New Housing Item, Aetherial Wheel – Allows an alternate way of generating FC Credits to buy FC buffs for everyone to enjoy.
Tons of quality of life changes.
PS4 – PS Move controllers now supported! (no, I don’t have these, nor do I have plans to)
Traditional Controller mode is still quite awesome.

AIE News

AIE Membership and attendance is on the up and up!
AIE Coil Runs (Raids) was working on Turn 5, Twinitania, and was streaming it over Twitch last night (Saturday)
Lots of fun, and great progress on a very technically demanding fight. Many one shot kills regardless of gear level. Will continue to run this each Saturday at 9pm EST.
Tuesday,(http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/55620-winchester-wedding-tuesday-at-7pm-let-us-send-you-an-invite/) we will be having a little in-game wedding of Jasmine and Samantha Winchester! It is an invite only event, but just ask them and you can be a part of the ceremony. It will take place at the Sanctum of the Twelve, in East Shroud. The Closest teleport crystal is Hawthhorn Hut. It will take place at 10pm EST, 7pm PST.
New and old raid teams are also starting back up. FFXIV end game content are primarily 8 people in size.
