Welcome to episode # 238 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has ben podcast. This is Tetsemi: To my left is Host Mkallah: – (hey, guys, I am making marshmallows for the rice krispie treats right now. Alludra is off gathering mats for Final Fantasy XIV. This week we are joined by special guests Arveshet and Apolas who are here to talk to us about AIE in SWTOR Welcome!

Ok, we’ll be digging into Swtor shortly, but first, let’s cover this week’s news…

AIE News

Community

Remembrance Day, and the Summer of Love, will soon be here, albeit a little late this year. Traditionally, the Summer of Love is held during the first week of August, with Remembrance Day celebrated on August 2nd, but due scheduling conflicts (many of the guild either be at or returning from Nerdtacular), we are kicking off the Summer of Love on August 9th, with Remembrance Day. This is one of the most sacred and important events we hold each year. The event began to honor Bruce “Milliway” Galloway, an early member of AIE who passed away in 2007. He was a fan of AIE on a level that cannot be overstated, and a good friend and kind soul to all who knew him. On the day of his death we assembled and held a vigil in game. This vigil soon became our communities’ yearly tradition to honor him and every guild member who has been taken from us too early.

This year we will honor those we have lost on August 9th at 9pm Eastern, each in our own games, but together in Mumble.

Takemikazuch- AKA Larry- is looking for help with fireworks for Remembrance day. One of the events during the service is a fireworks show in Orgrimmar at Grommash Hold. Tak has graciously been volunteered to make this happen- and as such is in need the awesomeness of the guild to help make this happen.
What he needs (besides an easier to pronounce name)
1. Launchers.He has a lot of cluster shell launchers, but no single shell launchers. If possible, if a few engineering guildies could craft some of these, that’d be swell. There is a link for the launcher in the show notes and on the forums

SO, what are our plans this time?

Well, we’re going to OWN the Stormwind Cathedral and see to it that Syerene (the Craft Faire Queen) and Kuta (her beau) get properly hitched

What do we need?

Muscle- And lots of it. This is our COOP for the summer. We intend to take over Stormwind l so that Syerene and Kuta can get married at the Cathedral. Please join us to make sure that the lovely bride and groom can have the best wedding in WOW- and have fun and chaos along the way. This is not a bear run, but we do intend to own the Alliance Capital City that evening.

What happens afterward (ie other cities) is still open.

FFXIV

The fine folks of Final Fantasy are hard at work on Airships Steve and Henry- right now they are working on the Grade 2 Wheel of Confrontation (exp through battle):
Materials needed- 3 electrum ingots, 3 deep red enchanted ink (3 deep red crystals & 2 deepeye tears per), 3 mythrite sand, 3 unaspected crystals

LOTRO

Update 16.2 is out and contains a lot of new content, including a new PvMP map, set in the battle-torn ruins of Osgiliath, in the time before the first chapters of the War of the Ring. Brandish the sword and the shield, or bow, or staff that best suits your look with the new Cosmetic Weapon system. Take a new merry and unexpected adventure with Bingo Boffin every week, and cull the new Roving Threats that wreak havoc on Middle-earth.
